Since 1999, the Skoll Foundation has been a pioneer of social entrepreneurship. Founded by Jeff Skoll, the foundation’s mission is to advance systemic change to benefit communities around the world by investing in, connecting and celebrating social entrepreneurship. Pretty cool.

Each year, the Skoll Foundation hosts Skoll World Forum, a confluence of nearly 800 delegates from over 60 countries as well as prominent figures from social, academic, finance, corporate and policy sectors with a mission to propel social entrepreneurship. For three days and nights, these change makers engage in stimulating discussions and debates focused on “accelerating, innovating and scaling solutions to some of the world’s most pressing social issues.”

This year’s conference will be held from March 25-27 at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. If you are attending the conference this year or know someone who is and would like to share your insight, let us know!

We will be posting stories from this year’s forum so stayed tuned.  In the meantime, take a moment to watch the powerful closing film from the 2008 conference.
