StartSomeGood Creates Collaborative Pepsi Refresh Entrepreneurs Slate

Every month, the Pepsi Refresh Project awards more than $1.2 million in good-idea grants. To date, they have helped over 200 communities, awarded over $20 million and even had their CEO, Indra Nooyi, recognized for the program’s success with a TED Talk. Now,, an early-stage social enterprise crowdfunding platform, is innovating on top of the innovative.

StartSomeGood has been shaking things up in the collaboration realm since launching in March of this year. They have already raised $157,629 for 20 organizations with the most recently funded project, Do Good Bus, skying above $100,000 with over 680 backers.

The Do Good Bus in itself is another example of the collective impact that StartSomeGood inspires. Through their surprise-trip volunteer work in Los Angeles, up-and-coming indie band, Foster the People, decided to partner with them for their next tour, doing good in the U.S. communities they travel through.

Currently StartSomeGood is ranked #36 for a $10,000 Pepsi Refresh Communities grant. They have put their heart, soul and stomach into this venture, but wanted to take their commitment for social entrepreneurship a step further. With the Pepsi Refresh Entrepreneurs Slate, StartSomeGood decided to take advantage of the five unique daily votes that the Pepsi Refresh Project gives each user and make it simple for voters to share the love with like-minded organizations.

The following four entrepreneurial nonprofits are part of the Pepsi Refresh Entrepreneurs Slate:
